Big News From Our Founder: tabGeeks Is Back!

Dear tabGeeks Family,

It is my absolute pleasure to announce that effective immediately tabGeeks is about to get a whole lot more amazing!

I have taken a step back from my day job as IT Director, to spend approximately 30 hours a week dedicated to building tabGeeks, expanding our content, and engaging with all of you. It has been a difficult year and a half for everyone, and one of the brightest things that helped a lot of people get through the pandemic was communities like this one. We have an amazing community in our tabGeeks Slack, along with all of our wonderful listeners and attendees, and I am so happy to be able to begin this next chapter. My goal is to grow this business so I can do this full time, and bring on a production staff to continue creating amazing content and begin hosting incredible events again.

When the pandemic hit and our conference was canceled via the lockdown, we had excellent traction and were set to start making a profit and it all evaporated. I took several months off from the business and any thoughts of a conference to deal with the pandemic and lead the charge at my day job to transition our teams to the new reality. In January, I started a second podcast that I have been hosting weekly discussing all the Google Workspace updates that Google pushes out every week. Both podcasts; Google Workspace Recap, and Supporting IT Support, have been doing incredibly well, so Shani and I decided now was the time to give tabGeeks the business the chance it deserves to turn into a long-term profitable business and get things growing again.

What’s Next?

First off will be a lot more engagement from me.

I am restarting production on Supporting IT Support (haven’t published in a while,) expanding both productions to video as well as podcast formats so those who enjoy talking heads on Youtube can enjoy as well!

We will be launching a new show called SaaS Showdown which will discuss the world of SaaS and all of the amazing products to choose from.

Our weekly newsletter has finally launched with weekly updates on the best in tech, our shows, and top news. Scroll to the bottom of the page to sign up!

Lastly, I am working on the design for 2 entirely new shows: One on Emergency Disaster Response from a technology assistance point of view, and the other discussing the conversations around remote/in-person working and what the workplace of tomorrow will look like.

Finally, I want to hear from all of you! What do you want to see next from tabGeeks? Any interest in a conference perhaps? Other ideas for shows? Swag? My (virtual) door is always open to our wonderful community members, please reach out and let me know your thoughts! I am extremely excited to take this next step and begin the next phase of tabGeeks!
