Christopher Kusek is the Chief Technology Officer of Tualatin, OR based system integrator and VAR, Xiologix, LLC. An industry recognized expert, Christopher is a current DellEMC Elect,VMware vExpert and Cisco Champion, while also an accomplished speaker and author with six books published. With over 20 years of experience in IT as a Technology Evangelist and Industry leader, Christopher plays a key role in Xiologix’s growth leading its storage, security, networking and engineering practice to evaluate and architect solutions that meet their client’s tactical and strategic goals. Prior to Xiologix, Christopher spent three years at EMC where he was the Global Lead for Cloud and Virtualization. In this position, he was focused on the company’s relationship and integration with VMware, VCE, Storage and Cloud Services. Before that, he worked at NetApp as a Technology Evangelist and Principal Consultant responsible for pre-sales and post-sales hybrid consulting engagements surrounding Virtualization, Storage, Microsoft and security solutions. Most recently, Christopher served as Sr. Technical Director for Operation Enduring Freedom (EOF) responsible for theater wide infrastructure operations for the war effort in Afghanistan.

Colleen Alaimo started her life journey in technology in the near West burbs of Chicago with her Commodore 64 at the young age of 5. Since then she has developed her IT career starting in Education and nonprofits, and moved into the world of political campaigns. After securing a win for Tim Kaine’s Senate race in Virginia and ensuring there were no hacking efforts in 2012, she moved to Washington, DC to get out of politics. She has worked at 3 different start-ups, ensuring they had the proper technology and security in place to go public. Looking for a better work/life balance, Colleen found herself at Excella Consulting as their IT Director. Now only working at little over 50 hours a week implementing security and compliance policies, new technologies, better networks, and stopping the proliferation of shadow IT that was happening before her arrival.

Ken Westin is Senior Security Specialist with Splunk and works with organizations to aggregate and operationalize disparate data sources to identify threats and improve their overall security posture through advanced analytics and orchestration. Prior to Splunk he worked in the Office of the CTO at Tripwire where he focused on applying their technology to advanced threats and was the spokesperson for press and industry events. He developed and successfully exited a technology company (GadgetTrak) to provide corporate clients the capability to track highly sensitive mobile devices to ensure they were not falling into the wrong hands. His passion has been the development of tools and techniques to aid law enforcement in tracking down criminals and has put bad people in jail using data. He is trained in both offensive and defensive security and insider threat and has spent several years investigating malware and cyber attacks, to better aid organizations in how to defend themselves. He has presented original research at DEF CON, Black Hat, RSA and security conferences around the world.
